Danish Layer cake

4 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. cold water
1 cup sugar
1 scant cup flour
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Beat the 4 egg yolks until lemon colored.
Add water and sugar and beat together, Mix and sift the flour, cornstarch, baking powder and salt.
Add to the egg yolk mixture. Beat well. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the yolk and flour mixture. Add vanilla. Bake in 4 ungreased (or use a little oil) 9 inch baking pans (round or square).
In a 450 degree preheated oven bake for 10 minutes. cool on cooling racks. Take each cake out of the pans and place on a cake plate or any kind of plate. Find some king of filling you would like, can be any kind. spread the filling on cakes and place cakes on top of one another to create layers. Top with Whipped cream. Serve, place any leftovers in fridge to keep cool.
